There is abundant evidence about the existence of the Circumcision complex but it is not always as straightforward as a biologist or a physician would like it to be.
The concept of the Circumcision complex is based on facts and ideas already fully acknowledged. It integrates them into a logical whole. It gathers evidence from different fields such as biology, psychology, history, religion and even science and art. Most importantly, it relies on common sense. Ancients had sound common sense and trusted their intuition. They openly performed circumcision for its mental effects. And they didn’t hide this. Covering the primary purpose of circumcision is a modern religiopolitical trick or simply ignorance. The concept of the Circumcision complex is intuitively sound which makes it trustworthy. Even many circumcised men find it logical.
Confirmations for the existence of the Circumcision complex can be found virtually everywhere. There is abundant empirical evidence about the biological and neurophysiological aspects of amputations including circumcision. There is extensive statistical evidence about the long-term mental effect of pedocircumcision provided that one knows what one is looking for. But the psychological proofs are more or less indirect or subjective. Psychology investigates the invisible psyche therefore any of its claims and categories are theoretical. It operates with ideas and intuition. There is no direct empirical evidence in psychology. But in the frames of modern and Freudian psychology the existence of the Circumcision complex is perfectly logical. Albeit it must has been intangible to Freud himself.
The whole issue about the formation and the reality of the Circumcision complex is quite simple. It consists of amputation and its known and logical psychological consequences. Any step in the induction and development of the Circumcision complex may be considered proven by analogy. Thus, the classic example of inducing a psychological complex is the amputation of a limb. As regards circumcision, however, which is also amputation, the ability to induce psychological complex is often neglected or denied on the basis of the supposition that the prepuce is useless and insensitive. But this supposition is unreasonable because the foreskin is very sensitive and therefore biologically and emotionally very important.
One of the most direct physiological confirmations of the great role of the foreskin and hence a prerequisite for the Circumcision complex is the objective establishing of the actual size of the preputial cortical areas by modern means such as MRI. This, however, has either not been properly performed or at least not published due to shyness and religious ethics because the experiment involves touching erogenous zones and because the result would discriminate those who are circumcised. In fact, such a modern experiment has not been performed due to the circumcision-generated ethics that misuses and fears sexuality, which may be regarded as a by-product of the Circumcision complex. Notwithstanding, there are many other not so modern scientific verifications that give a pretty good idea of what the size of the foreskin-brain must be.
The fact that only those who are pedocircumcised may consider the foreskin needless and even harmful proves that circumcision has altered their minds. Their bias tends to either undervalue and demonize or overprize sexuality which reveals they have grown psychologically and emotionally different from naturals. The irreconcilable polarization of opinion between naturals and circumcised is a powerful empirical evidence that circumcision has a psychoemotional impact.
The psychological effects of pedocircumcision are subtle and long-term. The smallest laboratory at which they can be undisturbedly developed and objectively observed is real life. History offers a great number of experimental subjects and conditions. To use them objectively, however, a scientist must be free from political and ethnoreligious bias that often has something to do with circumcision.
In the face of a ban on circumcision the circumcised readily equalize their ethnic and hence psychosocial identity with circumcision. It is the circumcised groups and individuals who get aggressive when circumcision is questioned and not naturals which is an illustrative example for the Circumcision complex. For objectivity’s sake the results obtained by circumcised researchers must be ignored which has nothing to do with their honesty. Likewise, the objectivity of blind people investigating vision is doubtful no matter how sincere they are.
Those who suffer a psychological condition are the last ones to recognize it. It is natural for pedocircumcised to be unwilling to recognize the mental effects of circumcision. However there is not a single sensible argument against the Circumcision complex. Perhaps the most direct and persuasive evidence of the mental effects of circumcision comes from the testimonies of those who have been circumcised as adults.
Some consider that alleviating psychiatric problems is the best proof of the validity of the psychological theory applied during treatment. Even if this is so, circumcision is irreversible and therefore proving the existence of the Circumcision complex by its healing is impossible.
The Circumcision complex is induced by amputation. It has a physical cause. Circumcision is a real neurophysiological manipulation and not a suggested traumatic experience. The Circumcision complex is somatically induced and is more corporeal than any psychological complexes induced by psychological stress. Also its effects must be statistically observed without difficulty because it has known and greater incidence.
Amputation and pleasure deprivation inevitably induce a psychological complex. Circumcision, which includes both of them, must do the same. As long as psychological complexes exist the Circumcision complex is real. Nonexistence of the Circumcision complex is most irrational. It poses the paradox that there is a cause without effects.
Were pedocircumcision lacking mental impact then the obsession of the pedocircumcised with it and with the systems of thought that support it throughout history would require another explanation. A search for alternative explanations is not merely senseless. It is dangerous and racialistic as the WWII showed.
The concept of the Circumcision complex allows rethinking of history. It rationalizes many of the most irrational social phenomena including interreligious hatred and explains them with the same factor. The fact that the Circumcision complex inscribes in the grand scheme of things greatly substantiates it.
