‘Thou shalt not question’.
The Future of an Illusion
Religious people love saying that religion teaches responsibility. But this is highly objectionable. Religious ethics is one-sided. It benefits only believers and is cruel to gentiles. It is conservative and ethnocentric. The religious person is irresponsible as long as he thinks of himself and acts as an instrument of God. When one executes God’s will he doesn’t need to be responsible at all. The believer transfers responsibility to the highest authority and need not decide on anything at all.
Religious responsibility aims at the welfare of the particular religion. It makes people accountable, blameable, reliable and dependable on the religious authorities. Religions are clannish and ethnocentric because they closely link believers of the same faith. Ethnocentrism of religions is proportional to dogmatism and hence to the abstractedness of their central deities.
People love religion because it frees them from responsibility. Apart from its social protective roles religion eases mental labour. Religion frees one from taking decisions, which is the most difficult task for many. Believers actually perceive God’s commandments as freedom from thinking.
Group morality inhibits some desires and discharges the accumulated psychological tensions in required acts. Reliance on authority justifies violence that it labels as socially beneficial and cuts loose natural cruelty. Religious morality discharges, unleashes and redirects passions and cruelty toward internal and external enemies. Group responsibility equates to individual irresponsibility.[i] Likewise religious conscience justifies and even provokes aggressive acts.
Ethics of the monotheistic religions encourages love of hierarchy and need of authority, and reliance on authority. The morality of Abrahamic religions accustoms people to autocracy, theocracy and dictatorship. They render people dependable, personally unaccountable and insensitive.
The refinement of soul and the docility that pedocircumcision provides for is at the cost of sexual frustration and insecurity. The driving force of such mental improvement is dissatisfaction because it is fuelled by deprivation. Pedocircumcision creates neuroses and favours conditions that redirect them. It supplies frustrations that need governing and circumcising religions utilize this.
Religion makes the forbidden fruit grow bigger, sweeter and uncontrollable then shows its dangerous potentials in order to justify sexual suppression. Religious morality threatens us with what it has misused.
Religious bans and sexual suppression create mental problems that require new restrictions. Religious ethics is occupied with pacifying the uneasiness it perpetually generates. The Importance of religion gradually increases in this process. With the development of a repressive religion it consumes more and more reserves.
Religion obsessively absolves the sins it fabricates. Like a neurotic state tends to seize and subordinate mental processes the insecurity imposed by sexual frustration fanaticises believers. They spend more time in observing religious rituals, perfecting their morals and fighting infidels and other systems of thought than in constructive actions. Suppressive religious morals appropriate all mental and social resources. The resulting poverty and scarcity it blames on gentiles and sinners.
Authoritarian religions and systems of government in general do not aim at progress or change. When a religion speaks of peace and love it means stagnation, conservatism and obedience.
Religion absolves people of its own sins. What a self-sufficient vicious cycle of economy!
True democracy is areligious
It is not the concern about human right of bodily integrity that underlies the motivation of intactivism but the unrealized concern about the freedom of psychological self-determination. Intactivism is by necessity anti-Semitic and anti-Islamic as long as the identity and religion of Jews and Muslims are enforced by antidemocratic means such as pedocircumcision. In this sense the perfect democracy is anti-Semitic, anti-Islamic and antireligious. The current democracy is imperfect as it allows religions to enforce body modifications and to cause mental drifts that serve religious purposes.
There is a bitter irony in the fact that Jews who have suffered both the effects of circumcision and the Holocaust that the latter persistently provoked categorize the recently ripping ban on pedocircumcision in western democracies as a modern Holocaust.
The mental effects of pedocircumcision form false ethnic and religiopolitical identities. They set up barricades in human minds and thus split personalities and societies. The ghosts of excised foreskins haunt us from the inside.
